My name is Sonny Mayo, founder and lead instructor of Trigon Tactics.

I am a NYC Pistol and Rifle/Shotgun licensee for over 20+ years and I’ve helped hundreds of New York City residents successfully prepare and submit their CCW application successfully to the NYPD Licensing Division.

I have created a training system for civilians & Mil/LE for over 30+ years ago to give a clearer, safer, and more professional path to firearms training, concealed carry education, and the NYC CCW application process.

At Trigon Tactics, we offer training for qualified civilians, military personnel, and law enforcement officers who want to build safer, sharper, and more confident skills.

Our programs include the NYPD-approved 16-Hour CCW Course with 2-Hour Live Fire, NYC CCW Fast Track™ application guidance, and beginner-friendly firearms training for new and developing shooters.

We also provide beginner pistol, rifle, shotgun, and edged weapon training, available through both group classes and private training sessions.

Whether you are brand new, nervous, unsure where to start, or looking to improve your confidence with firearms and personal protection, my goal is to help you build real skill in a safe, structured, and professional training environment.
